**Where are the Black people in Argentina?**
That question started with soccer, but it opened the door to a much bigger conversation about race, identity, history, and who gets to represent a nation.
In this episode of **Inclusive AF**, Jackye Clayton and Katee Van Horn explore the history of Afro-Argentines, the myth that Argentina’s Black population simply disappeared, and how the country built a national identity centered on whiteness and European ancestry.
We talk about what happens when people are still present, but erased from the story. We also unpack the role of census data, immigration, racial classification, assimilation, and media representation in shaping who the world sees as “truly Argentine.”
This is not about claiming Black Argentines do not exist.
It is about asking why so many of us were taught not to see them.
And because this is **Inclusive AF**, we connect that erasure to the workplace, where organizations often stop measuring people, stop naming patterns, and then claim the problem does not exist.
